BATIMON
Outbound and Inbound Tourism : Travelers
– BATIMON Travel Agency will arrange trips suitable
for nature lovers of any age. We will design custom
itineraries for individuals and groups. Just inform
us about group size, mean age, interests, and lodging
preferences. It is possible for us to accommodate groups
of any size, but a preferable group size for wildlife
observation and exploration in remote areas is between
5 to 15 persons.
Trip
length - our trips range in length from 1 to
3 weeks. Two weeks is the average trip length. For business
travelers with little time to spare or those visiting
Mongolia independently, we can also organize day trips
to places close to Ulaanbaatar.
Transport
- depending on your itinerary and group size we fly
on domestic charters or commercial flights to remote
areas and travel overland in well maintained Russian
jeeps or minivans.
Guiding
- creating colorful, discovery-oriented, natural trips
that are safe and comfortable is the mission of our
guides. We employ naturally curious and outgoing staff
to ensure that they cater to the explorer in our clients.
Difficulty
- the majority of our trips are designed to be “moderate”.
Due to the great distances that are covered on unpaved
roads, no trip through the countryside of Mongolia can
be considered 'easy'. In a jeep tour the typical day
will be no longer than 8 hours with plenty of stops
on the way to explore or enjoy other activities. Moderate
trips feature hikes of no more than 5-15 km, and no
more than 35 km horseback or camelback riding
Food
- we provide a variety of both foreign and local cuisine
on our trips and are conscious of the need for adaptive
menus, since the Mongolian diet tends to be heavy in
meat. You will have meals in nice restaurants while
in Ulaanbaatar and we make an effort to serve a mix
of western and local cooking when you are staying in
Ger camps or camping out.
Accommodation
- We lodge clients in comfortable hotels in Ulaanbaatar.
In the countryside, we generally stay in Ger camps with
good amenities, including showers, bathrooms, and laundry
services. Each Ger has traditional wooden furniture
and a wood burning stove, which will be lit on cold
evenings and before you wake up in the mornings to take
the chill off. On our more expeditionary style trips
and in remote areas, we camp in tents. Some days we
will stay in local provincial Hotels. You might know
well, local provincial hotels’ standard is not
you are thinking, please do not expect quality service,
but we've agreed with local hotel management to improve
the service quality including room service facilities
and clean situation.
Hiking
- the best way to discover nature's hidden treasures,
and appreciate the wildlife, woodlands, and least accessible
scenic spots of our land.
Horseback
riding - allows us to cover more ground and
still reach spots not accessible by vehicle. This is
the most common mode of transport in Mongolia, and you'll
experience our nomadic horsemen's lifestyle crossing
the steppe and exploring different valleys on horseback.
Camelback
riding - a smooth ride nestled between the
two humps of Mongolia's native Bactrian camels. A perfect
way to explore the Gobi Desert is explore sand dunes,
oases and canyons.
Dates
– Cultural tours are continuous between July 8-20th.
All other our trips are beginning from the May 15th
until the October 15th. Only our Outside of these dates,
weather conditions may be unpredictable and cold.
